Our Story
Miti began as a simple dream in Michael’s Ng’ang’a’s mind. As a young Rotaractor, he found himself drawn to every tree-planting activity available. Weekend after weekend, he showed up -1 planting seedlings and inspiring others to care for the environment. It soon became his “little thing”… his calling.
By 2018, that personal passion had grown into a mission he could no longer ignore. Michael decided it was time to go beyond casual tree planting and now help citizens, schools, and organizations not just plant trees, but grow them, restore degraded landscapes and build a generation of young environmental champions.
And just like that, Miti Alliance was born – a collective effort to grow trees, nurture ecosystems and empower communities.
Through our wellness arm, Miti Wellness, we inspire individuals and organizations to nourish, heal and thrive through holistic wellness programs and community initiatives. We believe that true well-being arises from the interconnectedness of mind, body and environment, and that empowered individuals create thriving, resilient communities.
Across communities, schools and corporate spaces, our work is helping to create thriving environments and flourishing individuals.
My Little Thing…
It’s the little things citizens do. That’s what will make the difference. My little thing is planting trees.
